About me

Hello, I’m Georgi Staff

I’m the counsellor behind Nature of Self. I offer a gentle, non-judgemental space where you can slow down, feel heard and explore what matters to you.

Like a tree, we are all shaped by our roots, our seasons and the conditions around us. Counselling is a chance to understand those things more deeply, and to grow in the direction that feels right for you.

I use a person-centred approach based on the work of Carl Rogers. This means you lead the way: I listen with empathy, acceptance and honesty, supporting you to explore your experiences and find your own way forward. There's no pressure to have the right words or to know where to start.

I qualified in Therapeutic Counselling at Level 4 with CPCAB and am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

— Carl Rogers, On Becoming a Person

I offer online counselling and in-person sessions in Ringwood. An introductory call is a chance to meet me and consider whether the support feels right for you.

Questions

Things people often ask

Is everything I say confidential?

Counselling offers a confidential space. The limits of confidentiality, including serious risk of harm and legal obligations, are explained before sessions begin so you can make an informed choice.

How many sessions will I need?

It's different for everyone. Some people find a handful of sessions enough, while others prefer longer-term support. We'll review regularly, and you're always free to decide what's right for you.

How do online and in-person sessions work?

I offer online counselling by video, so you can join from somewhere private and comfortable where you can talk without interruption. In-person sessions take place in the room upstairs in the Scultocks Health food shop, 1 Market Place, Ringwood, BH24 1AN. The room is accessed by stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.

How much do sessions cost?

Sessions cost £40 for 50 minutes. Concession rates may be available; evidence is required. Please enquire to discuss concession rates before booking.

What if I need to cancel?

Please get in touch as soon as you know you cannot attend. The notice period and any cancellation charges are discussed and agreed before you book your counselling sessions.
